GIVING
Benevolence & Hardship
To give us a spiritual principle of the Kingdom of God and is a part of the law of reciprocity: as you give, it will be given unto you. The Bible (in both the Old and New Testaments) speaks of the stewardship or management of our material possessions. This can include the tithing and giving of money or objects of value in lieu of money. We are responsible for that which we have received.

Helping the Haitians
The recent earthquake in Haiti has brought about so much damage, death, and destruction. While the impact of the earthquake has been devastating, our response to this crisis must be overwhelming and "history-making." We intend to do our part. And you can help. Please consider making a secured online donation today. Unlike many charitable organizations, all of your gifts made through Asbury will go to help our Haitian brothers and sisters. Asbury will pay 100% of the administrative costs for getting your resources to the people of Haiti. Thanks for making a difference with your donation to help the Haitians.
Overcoming a challenge is what Kam Puller is all about.
The 17-year-old,(a youth of our church), known for his quick dashes as a quarterback and his aggressive home run hitting as a right fielder for Martinsburg High School. Only a junior, Puller has been a threat to the local competition since he was a freshman. Puller is built like a professional ballplayer, much bigger and faster than most other high schoolers, but one challenge can slow up even the biggest and toughest of people - illness. After playing a baseball game on a Monday a few weeks ago, Puller complained of flu-like symptoms. He described his pain as being "like a headache." On Tuesday, Puller became worse and his sister phoned their parents. After going to City Hospital, Puller was transfered to Children's Hospital in Washington, D.C. Now, after laying in a hospital bed for two weeks, Puller, his family and his doctors have no answers about his illness. Numerous tests have been administered without any luck. "It's a medical mystery," said Ann Washington Proctor, Puller's aunt. "Kameron has a team of doctors and neurologists working around the clock. They have also teamed up with Johns Hopkins." (The Journal, March 30, 2010)
Our Asbury family is very proud of Kam and we're praying for him and pulling for him and his family! Please join us as we raise the funds needed to allow this incredible kid to make a magnificent "come back"! Please make a donation today! All donations are tax-deductible.
